2024 SuperMotocross Review

Triumph Racing Celebrate Successful Supermotocross Season
Racing Triumph Motorcycle 7th Oct 2024

Triumph Racing can reflect on a successful inaugural term in the SuperMotocross World Championship that consisted of multiple points of note. The data compiled over the last seven months will provide the team with valuable insights, ensuring that the TF 250-X remains competitive for victories in 2025.

Jalek Swoll missed a podium finish in Monster Energy AMA Supercross by the narrowest of margins – he appeared in the top 10 in all but two rounds and pushed to seventh in the 250SX East classification. Not only that, but he also took the TF 250-X to its, and his, first-ever heat race win in Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field. It was an incredible step and one that the team capitalised on as they moved into AMA Pro Motocross.

It was that championship that included Triumph Racing's first podium in the United States when Swoll mounted the podium at the ninth stop at Unadilla in New Berlin. The #33 appeared in the top 10 in 17 of the 24 motos and missed a second podium by just three points at the series' penultimate round. Sadly, that hard hit at the first SuperMotocross World Championship playoff stopped him building on the momentum.

Joey Savatgy showed similar potential aboard the TF 250-X in AMA Pro Motocross, storming to second in timed qualification during the manufacturer's first outdoor race in the United States. Savatgy impressed on more than one occasion, despite a handful of hard falls, and was classified in 12th position in the 250MX championship standings.

The TF 250-X exceeded all expectations in its first season, competing fiercely with its established competitors in both the controlled climate of a Monster Energy AMA Supercross dome and the taxing heat of AMA Pro Motocross. Swoll could rely on a solid base and consistency from his TF 250-X, which was a result of years of research, development, and meticulous test phases. Triumph Racing has been able to count on the support of its valued technical partners across the rigorous campaign and is thankful for that invaluable input.

Triumph Racing will now shift its attention to preparations for the 2025 SuperMotocross World Championship. Further announcements about Triumph Racing's thrilling plans for the new season will be released in due course.

Bobby Hewitt – Triumph Racing USA Team Principal: "I look back on our maiden term in the SuperMotocross World Championship with such fondness – I am so very proud of everyone involved in our program, no matter if they are here in the United States or in the United Kingdom. We achieved so much, with a heat race win and podium, but focus will now turn to ensuring that we build on that success in 2025. We are excited to watch Jalek flourish and have some rather exciting announcements on the horizon."
